RONALD JOHN HAMMOND was born in Murray, Utah and raised in Alaska, California, and Utah. He served his mission in the Texas San Antonio (Spanish) Mission in 1974-76. He married Crysandra D. Baxter in March 1977. Brother Hammond graduated from Utah State University in 1978 with a B.A. in Pre-dental Biology and Speech Pathology/Audiology with a minor in Spanish. In 1982 he graduated from the U. of Washington School of Dentistry and worked as a dentist in Rexburg.

Brother Hammond served as Stake mission president in the Seattle North Stake in 1980 and as a Branch president in the Redby Branch in Red Lake, MN.  Next, he served as a Stake president in the Montpelier Idaho Stake.  Brother Hammond was an Area Seventy in the 5th quorum in the Utah North Area,  and he served as President of the Mexico Monterrey North Mission.  He later served as an Area Seventy in the 5th quorum in the Idaho Area.

CRYSANDRA DEE (BAXTER) HAMMOND was born in La Grande, Oregon and raised in Utah.  In 1977, she graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Special Education and worked as a Special Ed. instructor at Adam’s Elementary in Logan, Utah.

Sister Hammond has served as a Ward Relief Society president, Gospel Doctrine teacher, and as a Ward Young Women’s president.  She served as a full-time missionary in the Mexico, Monterrey North from  2001-2004. Later she served as a Ward Missionary.

Brother and Sister Hammond served a welfare mission in the Middle East in Jordan in 2012.  They are the parents of three sons and three daughters, nine grandsons and seven granddaughters.
